AVT Consulting is a development consulting firm that focuses on navigating the complex bureaucracies associated with land use development and planning processes. Whether it is permitting a private residential dock or planning a large mixed use project in an urban core, AVT Consulting can assist a property owner or developer from the initial design and planning phases through the completion of permitting and infrastructure installation.

History

A Bellingham native, Ali Taysi formed AVT Consulting after graduating from Claremont McKenna College and spending a number of years in development consulting at a real estate law firm. After working on real estate development projects, Ali saw a clear need for development consulting and project management services in the Pacific Northwest. The development process is often complicated, involving a multitude of local, state and federal agencies, each applying state laws and local ordinances to condition and permit development. The design and permit process for a development project typically requires (at a minimum) several sub-contractors and design professionals (engineers, surveyors, wetland biologists, geologists, architects, and dirt and utility contractors). Without professional project management from someone knowledgeable with each type of permit, development proposal costs can skyrocket and schedules can lapse, or worse yet, a project may never be completed. Ali brings a decade worth of local project management and hands-on permitting experience to the business and can guide your project and or permit through these complex processes.
